Re: Real West Ham Fans
You mean there are nutters who pretend to be West ham fans?
I think the term "real" is rather pathetic, there are of course better West ham fans who will be there no matter what at every game, but how can you be real?, you either are a fan or you are not, it is that simple.

Shut up Hairy, you tit.

Re: Real West Ham Fans
As for getting West ham back where has it gone?
I have been a fan for over 40 years and during that time I can honestly say that over 30 of those years have been pretty average ones with hardly any where fans were even 60% happy with the chairmen or manager. Since the 90,s the team has always had shit players too.
I hated the fact that we had to move and thought that renting a stadium a ridiculous notion but sadly it has happened and I think all that is left is to support the team and carry on having a go at those in charge when things are bad.

I wouldn't worry about it, Hairy son, I don't think you qualify.

Re: Real West Ham Fans
Hairy, when you talk about fans that get involved, just like you pop up in threads about race and come over all high and mighty, you obviously forget that your 'comedy' character is supposed to be Turkish.

You know, that country which is ultra racist (bananas are still thrown on pitches) and has a shocking problem with hooliganism.

Do yourself a favour, create another character, this one is a dud.

Hairy, I don't think he does mean nutters pretending to be West Ham fans. Is that what you think the people signing up to the page are? I signed up to the page. Do you think I'm just a nutter pretending to be a West Ham fan?

HairyHammer 8:29 Sat Nov 25
Re: Real West Ham Fans
Buster you could be right but don't get too cocky about being a 'real' West ham fan as it is statistically proven that 'real' West ham fans are 26% more likely to kill themselves.

So, what is a real fan then?

Lily Hammer

No, what I said has nothing to do with signing up to anything I was just trying to be funny.
We live in a democracy as I said having a go at the Chairman or manager is the absolute right of any fan and if they want to sign a facebook page in order to do so why not?.
I just do not think the word Real helps it has an arrogant air about it people are not stupid I know myself that I am far far less worthy a fan than those who go to games consistently but I am still a fan, even a real fan one could say.

Re: Real West Ham Fans
All about opinions, but as you say, everyone should be allowed their opinion, and in my opinion, a real West Ham fan who hears about fellow fans being banned for hanging up a protest flag, will want to do something to fight that kind of treatment. A real West Ham fan will want to pressure the club to stop asking for two bob allocations to away matches. They will certainly want to change the badge so it either removes London or has East London.

So many others things that some so called fans tolerate but real fans won't.

My opinion.

On board with all you said, in fact I want the castle back on the badge too.

Re: Real West Ham Fans
The sad truth is the only way to wake up those controlling the club is to stop attending games and buying merchandise this has been said too too often but it is the truth everything else the Chairmen will avoid like the plague as if it does not even exist.
Although there is honour in trying and I hope the petition is very successful I just know how these powerful string pullers think.

It's all about the money money money !

Re: Real West Ham Fans
Ahh another West Ham vanity thread, don’t care what ‘newbies’ or any other type of fan do or don’t do i just want the owners gone. If they (newbies) are being dug out for not joining the protests then they are just as likely not to get in the way and be of no relevance to what many want to achieve.

You're wrong mate. My mate set the page up and asked the above and Swallow to be admins on the page. Hope that's cleared that up.
